Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does your software do?
Our software is designed for the health-tech space, specifically to enhance and streamline medical consultations. It uses AI to perform various tasks based on live transcription of medical consultations.
  • How does the software work?
The software listens to consultations (e.g., between a GP and patient), creates a live transcription, and then uses AI to perform various tasks based on this transcription.
  • What types of tasks can the software perform?
Our software can perform a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: - Writing referral letters - Creating SMS summaries of consultations for patients - Sending SMS messages with appropriate patient information leaflets - Writing supporting letters for patients (e.g., for housing support) - Automating the process of creating referral letters in your Electronic Health Record (EHR) It's important to note that these tasks are customisable, and users can add their own specific tasks to suit their needs
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • What medical specialties or healthcare settings is your software designed for?
The software has been primarily designed with General Practice in mind. However, it can be adapted to various healthcare settings including physiotherapy, psychiatry, hospital doctors, chiropractic care, other allied health professions, and even veterinary practices.
  • What languages does the software support?
Currently, our software supports English for both transcription and task completion.
  • Is the software compatible with my existing Electronic Health Record (EHR) system?
Our software is independent of any specific EHR system. The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has been built and tested with EMIS and AccuRx in mind, but it can potentially be adapted to work with other systems. Integration with systems other than EMIS and AccuRx may require additional testing.
  • How accurate is the live transcription?
While it's difficult to provide a specific accuracy rate, our software is designed to keep clinicians at the heart of every decision. Users can edit any output created by the software before it's finalized or automated. This ensures that the final output is accurate and appropriate.
  • How is patient data protected?
We take data protection very seriously. We are currently Cyber Essentials approved and are in the process of achieving our Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) certification. We are also working on our GDPR policies to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Is the software cloud-based or does it require on-premises installation?
Our software is a Windows-based programme that is installed on-premises.
  • How long does it take for the AI to complete tasks?
The AI completes tasks like writing referral letters or creating patient summaries in a matter of seconds.
  • Can the software be used for telehealth consultations?
Yes, the software can be used for both in-person and telehealth consultations, as long as the conversation can be clearly heard by the computer's microphone. For telehealth consultations, this may involve having the conversation on loudspeaker rather than using a headset.
  • How customizable are the outputs?
Everything is customisable. Users can edit any AI-generated content before it's sent or stored. You can also save anonymised examples for the programme to learn from, which helps improve future outputs
  • Can users create their own tasks or templates?
Yes, users can define their own tasks that they wish the programme to create, or they can choose from our directory of existing tasks. This flexibility allows healthcare providers to tailor the software to their specific needs and workflows.
  • How does the software handle different accents or medical jargon?
Our software is designed to handle various accents and medical terminology. While we're continuously working on improving this aspect, users always have the ability to review and edit the output to ensure accuracy.
  • Do I need to obtain patient consent to use this software?
We recommend that users seek consent from their patients before using the software during consultations. It's important to explain to patients how the software works and how their information is handled.
  • What should I tell my patients about the software?
We suggest providing patients with a brief explanation, such as: "We use an AI-assisted software to help us manage administrative tasks more efficiently. The software transcribes our conversation in real-time to help me create necessary documents like referral letters. No recordings are ever stored, and the transcription is deleted immediately after our consultation. You can always ask to see any documents created and request changes if needed."
  • How is patient privacy maintained?
The software processes one consultation at a time. Once a new consultation is started, the data from the previous consult is immediately deleted to maintain privacy and data security. No recordings or transcriptions are ever stored beyond the duration of a single consultation.
  • How does this software benefit healthcare providers?
Our software can save significant time on administrative tasks, improve documentation accuracy, and enhance patient communication. It allows healthcare providers to focus more on patient care by automating many time-consuming administrative tasks.
  • How does this software benefit patients?
Patients receive clear summaries of their consultations and relevant information, improving their understanding and follow-up care. This can lead to better health outcomes and increased patient satisfaction.

  • Are there any hardware requirements for using the software?
The software uses your computer's built-in microphone. No additional hardware is required for optimal performance.
  • How often is the software updated?
We are built by doctors, for doctors. We actively seek and value feedback from our users and constantly work to incorporate improvements into our software. Updates are released regularly to enhance functionality and address user needs.
  • How does the software handle situations where it might not understand or misinterpret part of a consultation?
Like all AI systems, our software may occasionally misinterpret information. However, we've designed the system to keep healthcare providers in control. All outputs can be reviewed and edited before being finalised. It's important to note that while our AI is highly advanced, it can have an element of hallucination and may not always be 100% accurate, which is why human oversight is crucial.
